Frequently asked questions

Cost drivers, lead times, coverage, equipment and hybrid events — answered plainly.

What does Breasia Productions do?

Breasia Productions is a Maryland-based, MBE-certified audio visual and live event production company serving Maryland, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia.

We provide sound, lighting, video, LED walls, staging, show management and live streaming for in-person, virtual and hybrid events, plus design and installation of permanent commercial AV systems. The company has been producing events for more than 20 years and is led by founder Jamal Lee.

What determines the cost of AV for a corporate event?

Event AV pricing is driven by five things: room size and audience count, how much video you need, the lighting design, labor hours (including load-in, rehearsal and strike), and whether the event is streamed.

A 50-person meeting with a projector and two microphones sits at one end of the range; a 500-person gala with an LED wall, IMAG cameras, stage lighting and a live webcast sits at the other. We quote every event individually after a walkthrough or venue review — email Events@BreasiaProductions.com for an estimate on your specific scope.

How far in advance should I book event production?

Book event production as early as your date and venue are confirmed — four to eight weeks ahead is comfortable for most corporate events, and three to six months is better for large galas, conferences and anything in peak season (spring and Q4).

We do take short-notice work when crew and inventory allow. If your event is inside two weeks, call (301) 490-3155 rather than emailing so we can check availability immediately.

What areas do you serve?

We serve the entire Baltimore–Washington region: all of Maryland, Washington D.C. and Northern Virginia, including Baltimore, Laurel, Columbia, Silver Spring, Annapolis, Montgomery County, Prince George's County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Alexandria, McLean and Tysons Corner.

We also travel nationally for clients with multi-city programs. See our service areas page for the full list.

Can you live stream an event and run the in-room production at the same time?

Yes — running the in-room show and the stream from one integrated system is our standard approach for hybrid events.

One team handles the room audio, cameras, switching, graphics and the encode to your platform, which means remote attendees hear the same clean program feed the room hears. We stream to Zoom, Teams, YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, custom RTMP destinations and closed corporate platforms.

Do you provide the equipment, or do we rent it separately?

We provide the equipment. Breasia Productions supplies and operates professional audio, lighting, video, LED, staging and streaming gear as part of the production package.

If your venue already has house AV, we can work with it, supplement it, or replace it for the day — whichever produces the better result for your budget.

Do you handle permanent AV installation, not just events?

Yes. Our installation division designs and installs permanent commercial AV systems — conference and board rooms, auditoriums, houses of worship, training rooms, control rooms and digital signage.

That work includes system design, equipment specification, rigging, cabling and network integration, commissioning and staff training. See our custom commercial installation page for details.

Are you a certified minority-owned business?

Yes — Breasia Productions is a certified Maryland MBE (Minority Business Enterprise).

That certification lets government agencies, primes and corporations apply our work toward MBE participation goals on their contracts.

What kinds of events do you produce?

We produce corporate meetings and conferences, galas and awards shows, government and association events, nonprofit fundraisers, worship services, graduations, press conferences, product launches, concerts and weddings.

Our portfolio includes broadcast-grade productions for national organizations as well as recurring in-house AV support for venues.

Do you rent LED walls for events?

Yes — LED video wall rental is one of our core services, and we own the panels, processing and rigging rather than sub-renting them.

We handle LED screen rental for events indoors and outdoors, including ground support and hung configurations, content scaling, playback and show graphics. Pricing depends on panel count, pitch, rigging and crew, so send us your room size and viewing distance for a quote.

What's the difference between an event production company and an event planner?

An event planner or event coordinator manages the logistics — venue, catering, guests, timeline — while an event production company builds and runs the show itself: sound, lighting, video, LED, staging and streaming.

Breasia Productions does both. We provide full-service event production and, when clients need it, event management and on-site production management covering run of show, rehearsals, vendor coordination and speaker support.

Is there an event production company near me in Baltimore or Washington D.C.?

Yes — Breasia Productions is a Maryland-based event production and audio visual company working daily in Baltimore, Washington D.C., Northern Virginia and across the DMV.

Because we're local, our crew and inventory travel from within the region: shorter load-in windows, same-day site visits and no out-of-market travel charges for events in the Baltimore–Washington corridor.
