The Marriott Marquis sits next to the convention center and carries a large share of D.C.'s association general sessions, gala dinners and multi-day corporate meetings. Ballroom programs there live or die on stage picture, audio intelligibility and a schedule that respects the building.

What we typically build

A ballroom general session usually means a wide stage, an LED wall or blended projection, IMAG so the back of the room can see a face, stage lighting warm enough for cameras, and a run of show that keeps the day on time.

Gala programs in the same rooms need a different look — uplighting, table wash, entertainment audio and a show caller who can hold the timing through an awards block.

Hotel logistics

Hotel ballrooms have their own dock scheduling, in-house AV arrangements, rigging approvals and union or labor requirements. We coordinate with the hotel directly and build the load-in schedule around what the building actually allows.

Because our warehouse is a short run away in Laurel, Maryland, an added screen or a changed room plan late in the week is a truck run, not a rental scramble.
