Event Production, Streaming & AV at The National Press Club
Programs at The National Press Club are usually announcements, briefings and panels where the recording matters as much as the room. The audio has to be clean enough for broadcast, and the stream has to be reliable the first time.
Built for the recording, not just the room
A press event has two audiences: the people in the seats and everyone watching or quoting it afterward. We build the audio so the podium feed is clean and distributable, and we provide a mult box or splitter feed so attending outlets can take a direct line rather than a room mic.
Cameras are framed for usable footage — a locked wide, a podium close-up and a room or reporter angle — with a switched program feed and isolated recordings.
- Podium, lavalier and panel wireless audio
- Press mult box / audio splitter feeds
- Multi-camera video with switched program and iso recordings
- Broadcast-quality live streaming with redundant paths
- Backdrop, lighting and podium branding
Downtown timing
Press programs are scheduled tightly and often confirmed late. We stage from Maryland, a short run into downtown, so a next-day or same-week call is realistic rather than aspirational.
Common questions
- Do you provide a press mult box?
- Yes. We supply a mult / press splitter so attending media can take a clean line-level feed of the podium audio instead of recording room sound.
- Can you deliver a broadcast-quality feed to a network or partner?
- Yes. We can deliver a switched program feed to a stream, a recording, or a partner endpoint, with the audio and framing standards a newsroom expects.
- How quickly can you cover a same-week announcement?
- Often within a day or two, depending on crew and inventory availability. Send the date, time and room and we will confirm quickly. Send us the venue, the dates and a rough headcount and we will price the actual build rather than a range.
